Nickelodeon Consumer Products Germany has kicked off a Dora the Explorer education campaign fronted by German actress Nina Bott. The initiative launches on the heels of the Frankfurt Book Fair, where deals were signed for iCarly, South Park, SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer.
Nickelodeon is asking children to draw pictures and send them to the broadcaster. For every picture sent, Nickelodeon is donating one euro to one of five junior schools, which have previously applied for support. As part of the successful relaunch of the property in the country, Nickelodeon has partnered with retailer myToys.de for the campaign. The retailer is contributing one euro for every Dora the Explorer product bought during the campaign period.
