The NFL and Nicktoons previewed the full season of their animated kids series “NFL Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians,” Wednesday afternoon in New York City. The series will premiere on Nicktoons Friday.
“NFL Rush Zone” is the first-ever original animated series developed by a major U.S. sports league and a cable network and is based on the a virtual role-playing kids game of the same name. The show follows Ishmael and his friends as they protect the NFL’s 32 teams and the world from a master villain.
A variety of NFL players and coaches will voice their own animated personas in each episode.
According to NFL Consumer Products, an extensive merchandise program is planned along with a QSR promotion.
