The Canadian Football League has granted New Era Cap a three-year licensing deal for worldwide distribution rights for the headwear brands 59Fifty and 39Thirty. A separate CFL deal was also secured with Miami-based 5th & Ocean for T-shirts and outerwear.

New Era will release headwear featuring all eight CFL teams, which will be available at CFL stadiums, CFL.ca, NewEraCap.com, New Era flagship stores and select retailers worldwide.

"We are extremely excited to add New Era to the CFL-licensed family," says Jim Neish, vice president of IMG Sports Licensing, licensing agent for the CFL. "The New Era brand has become synonymous with innovation and fashion and we look forward to the diversity that this brings to our emerging licensed business."

New Era was recently named the official on-field cap for the National Football League to begin in 2012. Also, this month, New Era will host the Pinstripe Bowl, a college football game held at Yankee Stadium, on Dec. 30. New Era holds more than 200 licenses, including the NBA, NHL, Disney, Marvel and Ali Enterprises.
