Many of the most famous Marilyn Monroe photography libraries, as well as collections featuring other prominent celebrities, have now been gathered together under one roof at the newly formed company Legends Licensing LLC.

The company will provide licensees in all consumer products categories with a centralized place to obtain licensing rights for images of a wide range of legends and talents from entertainment to sports and other fields, including images of Marilyn Monroe, Groucho Marx, Harold Lloyd, and from the David Sutton Collection John Wayne series.

"Until recently, licensees had to deal with multiple entities, convoluted rights issues, expensive royalty fees, and cumbersome product approval procedures when dealing with celebrity properties such as Marilyn Monroe," says Gary Saal, newly appointed director of licensing for Legends Licensing. "Legends Licensing streamlines that process, providing one-stop shopping for our many brands. We want licensees to think of Legends Licensing as the place to go for all things Marilyn, all things GrouchoSreally all legends."

Legends Licensing will provide the most extensive collection of images of Marilyn Monroe available through its Marilyn Monroe Licensing Group (MMLG) division. Here, licensees can find many of the Marilyn Monroe photographic libraries consolidated under one roof, including many images that have never before been made available to licensees. MMLG currently includes three prominent photography libraries—the Tom Kelley Collection, including Kelley's iconic early nudes known as The Red Velvet Collection, the Milton H. Greene Collection, and the Harold Lloyd Collection. More image libraries are expected to be added in the near future.
