Nelvana Unveils New Animated Prods

Nelvana Enterprises will introduce three new animated productions at this year’s MIPCOM, along with fresh seasons of “Beyblade,” “Detentionaire,” “Scaredy Squirrel” and “Sidekick.”“Oh No!”

“Oh No!” (52x11) is a comedy for kids ages 6 to 11 from members of the creative team behind “League of Super Evil.” The series sees a band of partying aliens invade Earth and snatch away all of the planet’s grownups. Luckily, Nate and his Super Wicked Extreme Emergency Team (S.W.E.E.T.) are on the case to take back the world.

Nelvana is also presenting two Franklin and Friends preschool specials (2x44) that take Franklin the turtle and his friends on new adventures outside of Woodland. In “Pole to Pole,” Franklin and his friends journey from the Arctic to Antarctica in a winter adventure, and in “Under the Sea” the crew explores the incredible world that exists right under their home as they take part in an underwater rescue.

Nelvana’s final new offering is “Paboo & Mojies” (52x11) a preschool series from Japan. The series takes place in Mojies Town where letters and learning combine to create laughter. Paboo is a curious boy panda; he and his group of friends explore and problem-solve in

their quirky, imaginative and sometimes zany world. “Paboo & Mojies” is a top-rated show in Japan and will treat audiences to authentic Japanese characters, animation and storytelling.
