Mind Candy named Brad Schultz head of Moshi TV, a new online TV platform set to appeal to Moshi's 50 million registered users worldwide. Previously, Schultz led digital content for MoonScoop's kids content platform Kabillion.

Based out of a newly-formed LA office, Schultz will be responsible for overseeing and driving forward the company's all-new online TV division. The platform will host video content including animated Moshi shorts, safely moderated user-generated content and programming from third party producers.

Moshi TV will incorporate a social layer via which kids can comment, rate and recommend shows to their network of friends. The platform, a mix of free and pay-to-view content, will launch later this year.

"We're delighted to have Brad heading up this immensely exciting area of the business," says Michael Acton Smith, chief executive officer of Mind Candy. "We share the same vision, and with his experience and skill set, he's definitely the right man to get Moshi TV off the ground."
