A deal between video game publisher and distributor Pan Vision Group, Amsterdam-based licensor Mercis and Biodroid Entertainment will see the launch of a Miffy video game for Nintendo's WiiWare platform on Sept. 3.

Miffy's World is a simulation game for children ages 2 to 7, featuring Miffy and her cast of animal friends, including Poppy, Grunty, Boris, Barbara, Aunt Alice, Melanie, Snuffy and the teacher. It includes quests and puzzles and incorporates an innovative parent-control feature which means that it will only be playable between the hours chosen by parents.

"The Miffy games license has always been on top of our wish list and we are very excited about delivering an extension of this strong brand onto a digital gaming platform," says Egil Strunke, business line director at Pan Vision. "One of the many things we like about the game is the opportunity for a parent or perhaps older brother/sister to play together with a younger sibling in a true cooperative mode. Both gameplay and concept-wise, we think that this game is bringing something new to the younger games audience."
