Mega Brands and Activision Publishing have entered a multi-year, global licensing partnership to develop toys and puzzles inspired by “Skylanders Giants,” the video game sequel to 2011’s “Skylanders Spyro's Adventure.”

The Skylanders Spyro's Adventure franchise was the first to successfully merge physical toys and a virtual game across leading videogame consoles. Starting this fall, Mega Bloks will take this adventure to another level by offering kids and collectors the ability to build and rebuild the characters and worlds from the new “Skylanders Giants” video game.

The “Skylanders Giants” game is currently in development for release later this year.

"We're excited to collaborate with the creative talent at Mega Brands on this new line of Mega Bloks and Mega Puzzles," says Ashley Maidy, head of global licensing and partnerships, Activision Publishing. "One of the magical things about ‘Skylanders Spyro's Adventure’ and ‘Skylanders Giants’ is how they inspire kid's imaginations, and we look forward to giving them new ways to create exciting adventures and unique play experiences."
