Cartoon Network Enterprises and Mega Brands have teamed up in a global licensing deal for construction toys inspired by new boys' action series "Generator Rex."

The three-year worldwide agreement is the first collaboration for the two companies. The Generator Rex toys are slated for a fall 2011 release in the U.S., followed by launches in additional territories.

"There is a tremendous amount of excitement and momentum surrounding Generator Rex and the addition of Mega Brands to our consumer products offering presents a great opportunity for the brand from a global perspective," says Christina Miller, senior vice president of CNE. "Construction toys are such a crucial element of how boys play and we're excited to work closely with Mega Brands to bring Rex's world and abilities to life for our fans."

"Generator Rex," created by Man of Action ("Ben 10"), is airing now in the U.S. on Cartoon Network. The property's licensing program includes Activision, Mattel, Hallmark, Warner Home Video and

DC Comics.
