Barbie entertainment on demand will launch with Barbie of Swan Lake and Barbie Fairytopia. Two new movies will be added every month through the end of the year. Upcoming titles scheduled for VOD release include Barbie as Rapunzel and Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper.
"Over the last 10 years we have released 20 direct-to-DVD titles which are watched an average of 10 times each,” says Lisa McKnight, vice president of marketing at Barbie. “By making Barbie entertainment available on demand, Avail-TVN will help us to broaden our reach, connect with new markets and build on the ever-growing success and fan base of the Barbie brand."
