Marvel Entertainment and Maui Jim have announced a licensing agreement for a new collection of sunglasses inspired by the film,

The Amazing Spider-Man

, in theaters July 3, 2012. The sunglass collection will be sold exclusively in North America at Sunglass Hut and authorized Maui Jim retailers to coincide with the film’s release.

The Amazing Spider-Man sunglass collection will feature movie-based art and graphics for adults. The collection will also be supported by in-store signage and window displays throughout Sunglass Hut stores in the U.S. and Canada and other authorized Maui Jim retailers outside of North America.

“Maui Jim has developed a collection that fans of the Spider-Man franchise will love,” says Jamie Kampel, director of licensing, Marvel Entertainment. “The partnership with Maui Jim further supports our overall strategy to break into new licensing categories for the Marvel brand as well as new distribution channels with major retailers like Sunglass Hut.”
