More than 615 Destination Maternity departments will open in Macy's stores by the end of February 2011. Macy's recently expanded its deal with the maternity apparel retailer, which currently leases departments in 113 Macy's stores.
Destination Maternity's brands include A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity—both of which will be the exclusive maternity and nursing apparel offered at Macy's. The lines retail from $7.50 to $200.
"Both brands are recognized for their styles and quality, which are important to our customer," says Jeff Gennette, Macy's chief merchandising officer. "With this expansion, we are able to offer expectant moms across the country merchandise that is fresh and fashionable."
