Two new Bloomingdale’s concept stores, based on the store that opened in SoHo, N.Y., and one other larger store are coming to the California and D.C. areas.
In 2010, at Santa Monica Place in California, a 105,000-square-foot SoHo design is expected to open. The original SoHo concept store is located in lower Manhattan and is smaller than a traditional Bloomingdale’s with a select assortment of contemporary men’s and women’s focused on the local market. The other SoHo concept, an 82,000-square-foot store, is set to open in August 2011 at Georgetown Park in Washington, D.C.
And, a 150,000-square-foot store is slated to open in fall 2001 at Westfield Valley Fair in San Jose/Santa Clara, Calif. The new store will be one of three in Northern California.
Recently, Macy’s, owner of Bloomindale’s, announced another new Bloomingdale’s opening for 2010 in Phoenix.
