The series’ style is inspired by the paintings of Gustav Klimt and with a production budget of €8.5 million. Producer Lucky Punch has been able to produce what it hopes is feature film-quality animation. The series is targeted at girls 6-10.

“Mia and Me” will premiere next spring on KI.KA Germany. Canal+ in France, RAI in Italy and TVI in Portugal are also confirmed broadcasters. German licensing partners already on board include Egmont for publishing; Panini for stickers, a magazine and DVD; Schmidt Spiele for games; and Belltex for home textiles.
