Little Airplane Productions has teamed up with social gaming platform Huzutech for a new Facebook app based on its children’s series “Small Potatoes.”

The “Small Potatoes Potato Maker” app will allow fans of the animated series to create and customize their own Small Potato, then show it off to the world. Fans can try an array of clothing, accessories and facial expressions and then share their creation as a Facebook photo or avatar.

“Our fans adopt these potatoes as their avatars so they spread organically across Facebook,” says Josh Selig, founder and president, Little Airplane. “We're confident this app represents a major new line of business for our growing brand."
The app was released Sunday and is aimed at the growing Small Potatoes Facebook, which currently stands at more than 1 million users.

“We believe we’ve built something that every current fan of the franchise will love and which will introduce the next million fans to the world of Small Potatoes,” says Graeme Harvey, managing director, Huzutech.

“Small Potatoes” premiered on the U.K.’s CBeebies network in May 2011 and also airs on Disney Junior in the U.S., ABC in Australia and TVO and Knowledge in Canada. The series follows the adventures of a band of singing potatoes.
