This year’s program will kick off on June 10, two days before the Expo opens, with a “retail safari” led by retail expert Carol Spieckerman, which will include a tour of Las Vegas retail sites. This is the first in a series of retail-themed sessions that will continue when the formal seminar program begins on June 11. The retail track will focus on establishing and enhancing a brand’s image at retail, with sessions on direct-to-retail deals and taking a brand from digital to retail.
But these retail-themed seminars are only a piece of the more than 35 programs slated for this year’s Licensing University series. The wide range of seminars is designed to help professionals at all levels acquire new strategies, innovative ideas and practical solutions to take with them after Licensing Expo ends.
“We’re extremely proud to present this year’s extensive Licensing University ‘curriculum’ and to further our commitment to providing all members of our industry with the tools they need to make meaningful connections for their brands and their business,” says Charles Riotto, president, LIMA. “Our goal is for participants to ‘graduate’ from LIMA’s Licensing University program with a deeper understanding of all the exciting prospects that exist in the licensing arena.”
Seminars and events will be hosted by a wide array of industry experts, including super-model-turned-business-mogul Kathy Ireland, who will give the keynote address on June 12.
