LIMA Names Two for Hall of Fame

The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) has chosen two licensing industry icons for induction into the Licensing Industry Hall of Fame: Howard Roffman, former president of Lucas Licensing; and the late Stan Clutton, former senior vice president of inventor relations, new business and inbound licensing for Fisher-Price.

The induction will take place during the annual LIMA Opening Night Awards Ceremony on June 12 during Licensing International Expo 2012 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Roffman, who served as president for Lucas Licensing for 25 years, recently stepped down from his position, turning over the reins to Paul Southern.

Clutton, who served Mattel and Fisher-Price for nearly 40 years, was a toy and licensing industry icon. He passed away in December after a battle with cancer.

“Induction into the Licensing Industry Hall of Fame is the highest honor that LIMA awards to the licensing community. Each candidate is judged based on their outstanding impact within the industry, as well as their overall integrity and legacy,” says Charles Riotto, president, LIMA. “We are excited to celebrate the achievements of Howard Roffman and Stan Clutton, two dynamic and visionary leaders who have left an indelible mark on our industry, as they join other deserving powerhouses of the licensing world in the Hall of Fame.”
