Sachiko Imaizumi, managing director of Plus Licens & Design Tokyo, has been elected as representative director of LIMA Japan.
LIMA Japan (formally called General Incorporated Association Japan Licensing Business Organization) is third-largest international LIMA office, serving the world's second-largest licensing market.
LIMA Japan, established in 2002 as a voluntary group, recently incorporated with a board of directors where Imaizumi will serve as chairperson.
Imaizumi will also participate in the LIMA Japan-organized seminar program at the upcoming Licensing Japan trade fair in July, making a joint presentation with Charles Riotto, president of LIMA. The presentation will focus on the successful spread of Japanese popular culture, with suggestions to Japanese companies on how they can develop new global licensing opportunities.
Plus Licens & Design Tokyo was founded in January 2010 and has been headed by Imaizumi from the start.
