Licensing International Expo organizers announced more than 90 new brands and exhibitors, most notably Angry Birds/Striker Entertainment. New exhibitors join returning companies including Smith & Wesson, UNICEF, Fender Guitars, Mind Candy, Zhu Zhu Pets and Electronic Arts.

“Angry Birds has topped one hundred million downloads and sold over 2 million units of plush,” says Marc Mostman, partner at Striker Entertainment. “With the popularity of the brand, and the potential it represents, we’re very excited about the opportunities that the Licensing International Expo will bring. The show has always been a terrific place to do deals and conduct business.”

Close to 300 exhibiting companies have committed to the show from Latin America, New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Mexico, France, Canada, Thailand and across Europe.

“It’s a more diverse mix of brands and exhibiting companies from years past,” says Liz Crawford, show director. “Companies understand the power of brand extensions. Sales of licensed products are holding steady, and retailers are always looking for that next big thing. That’s what this show provides.”
