Upfront Entertainment has acquired the LazyTown rights for greeting cards in the U.K. and Ireland. The range will feature Sportacus and Stephanie Birthday and Christmas cards, with a LazyTown Episode 1 DVD on the front of each one. Upfront will also produce pens, gift wrap, calendars and a small range of puzzles, which will launch in 2012.

LazyTown has signed a deal with Nokia for a LazyTown Airship Challenge app, to be made available in both Windows Phone Marketplace and Nokia Store. The app has been conceived, designed and developed by Ixonos. The game places the player in the position of Sportacus, navigating his Airship through the clouds above LazyTown to capture falling SportsCandy and collect points.

In broadcast news, “LazyTown” has been acquired by Nova Cinema for the Czech Republic on free TV Nova Cinema, which will launch in 2012.
