Parent company Tommy Hilfiger Corp. has licensed Karl Lagerfeld’s ready-to-wear collection to Italian manufacturer Vaprio Stile, with the deal due to kick in with Lagerfeld’s autumn/winter 2008-09 offering. The new partnership will ensure improved delivery times, merchandising, and price positioning, as well as generating expansion plans for America and the Far East and securing further capsule collection link-ups in the mold of Lagerfeld's successful collaboration with high-end retailer H&M in 2004.
