Kellogg has opened the doors to Pop-Tarts World, a 3,000-square-foot retail store and café, in New York City's Times Square. The shop is stocked with Pop-Tarts-inspired merchandise and apparel, including a T-shirt customization station and more.PopTartsEDIT.jpg

Other store features include interactive touch screens with games and a "varietizer" allowing shoppers to create custom-mixed boxes of Pop-Tarts. There's also a full-service café with more than 30 Pop-Tarts creations. A website at PopTartsWorld.com has also launched.

"From the frosting, sprinkles and delicious flavors to its colorful packaging and one-of-a-kind imagery, the Pop-Tarts brand has always cultivated an iconic spirit of fun that is beloved by millions of Americans," says Andrew Shripka, Pop-Tarts' brand manager. "Our new retail experience brings this fun to life by providing a unique, multi-sensory experience."

The grand opening celebration, called Fun Way to Start the Day, and hosted by comedian Caroline Rhea, featured chances to win merchandise and kicked off the Pop-Tarts $25,000 FUNd Contest.
