Bradford Licensing has been appointed by Taiwan-based Bright Ideas Design to launch a U.S. merchandise program for animated TV series "Katz Fun."

As agent, Bradford Licensing plans to develop a consumer products program in categories such as digital games, home entertainment and DVD, toys, apparel, accessories and publishing.

"'Katz Fun' has a strong moral lesson within each episode, and we want to convey that in the merchandise offerings we present to the marketplace," says Michelle Minieri, president of Bradford Licensing. "And by focusing on each individual character within the group, we will create a well-rounded and fulfilling program based on the core elements of the show. Bright Ideas made this possible with the high-quality assets and storyline portrayed in each and every episode of 'Katz Fun.'"

"Katz Fun," targeted at kids ages 6 to 9, follows Katz the tiger and his six friends as they protect Bent Boo Village from the evil Dark Messenger through teamwork, inspiration, creativity and education. Katz Fun joins Bradford clients Pepsi, 7Up, Mountain Dew, City of Beverly Hills, Aspen Colorado, Marilyn by Shaw Family Archives, Denise Richards, Happy House and Pez Candy.
