After watching the ad on YouTube, Kate Wilson, managing director at Nosy Crow wrote the text of a picture book. Her team put the picture book together and presented it to John Lewis Partnerships within 48 hours of the ad’s release.
“I was one of the millions of people who went to YouTube to watch the John Lewis 2012 advert, and that’s when I thought it could make a terrific picture book,” says Wilson. “It’s a very simple story of an adventurous and difficult journey, with love at its heart, that everyone can understand, whether they’re an adult or a child.”
The Journey
picture book will go on sale at John Lewis stores nationwide this weekend.
