The partnership coincides with the 70th anniversary of DiMaggio’s unbroken 56-game hitting streak. DiMaggio, who died in 1999, was a three-time most valuable player and 13-time all-star who helped lead the New York Yankees to win 10 pennants and nine world championships. DiMaggio’s celebrity status was heightened by his marriage to Marilyn Monroe.
“Joe DiMaggio is synonymous with America’s favorite pastime as well as his signature style. His brand is sure to resonate and provide tremendous opportunities to license a broad range of quality consumer products,” says Michelle Alfandari, chief executive officer and president of MODA.
