JLG will develop a retail-driven licensing program designed to connect with the growing number of fans for the preschool series, which airs on Disney Junior in the region. The program will center on the cheerful cast of characters with key categories including toys, games, publishing, apparel and confectionary.
Originating in the U.K. (produced by Monumental Productions, Lupus Films and DQ Entertainment), “The Hive” is now seen in more than 150 countries and debuted in the U.S. last October.
The Hive’s U.K. licensing program is also building with Mookie Toys named as master toy partner and releasing a range of plush and LeapFrog creating video packages for its LeapPad and Leapster devices.
