The Jim Henson Company has appointed Wild Pumpkin to represent the “Pajanimals” preschool series in Australia and New Zealand.

With a licensing program already underway in the region, Wild Pumpkin will look to expand the brand into key product categories including bedding, bath time products, additional toys, live events and more.

Last fall saw the release of the first “Pajanimals” DVD in the region as well as a line of plush toys from Tomy.

The first product to hit shelves this year will be a line of sleepwear, available exclusively at Target.

“Wild Pumpkin’s proven ability to nurture brands makes them an ideal licensing agent for ‘Pajanimals’ as the series’ popularity continues to grow across Australia and New Zealand,” says Melissa Segal, executive vice president of global consumer products, The Jim Henson Company. “Pajanimals is a charming property, and we know that Wild Pumpkin will be a tremendous asset in helping us maximize opportunities for brand development in the region.”

“Pajanimals” airs on ABC in Australia and TVNZ in New Zealand.
