ITV Studios Global Entertainment Consumer Products has named Melanie Humberstone-Garley as its new head of sales, merchandising and licensing.
Reporting to Trudi Hayward, senior vice president, global merchandising, consumer products, Humberstone-Garley’s expanded role at ITVS GE will include driving the delivery of annual budget and sales across all merchandising and licensing product categories for ITVS GE CP kids’ brands in the U.K., as well as negotiating licensing agreements in the publishing, soft lines and food and confectionery categories.
Humberstone-Garley joined ITVS in 2011 as a licensing consultant to the U.K. consumer products team. Prior to joining ITVS GE, she was head of U.K. sales at Chorion, where she specialized in apparel and soft lines for brands such as Mr Men/Little Miss, Paddington and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Her more than 20 years of licensing experience also includes posts at DRi, Entertainments Rights and The Copyrights Group.
"This is very exciting time for ITV Studios Global Entertainment Consumer Products. The portfolio of kids’ properties is set for a strong performance in 2013, and I’m delighted to be part of the team that will be helping them deliver. I expect this year to be a very busy and fast-paced one,” says Humberstone-Garley.
