ITV Studios Global Entertainment has licensed fashion label Rude to launch a menswear range inspired by the character Brains from the Classic Thunderbirds series.
Called the Brains Collection, the range will be composed of t-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball tops, knitwear, laptop cases and iPhone covers. It will be illustrated with graphic prints inspired by International Rescue and its in-house intellectual, Brains, and is targeted at style-conscious males ages 20 to 35.
The collection, promoted with the slogan “I’ve Got Brains,” will be available online in September. A pared-down capsule collection will also be sold exclusively at Hub, a collection of fashion boutiques in North and East London.
A Brains homewares range, to include cushion covers, mugs and Brains glasses, will debut in the spring/summer 2013.
“Brains was a real man of the future when he first appeared on Thunderbirds. Today he is still bang on trend,” says Rupert Meats, founder and owner, Rude. “We have greatly enjoyed this opportunity to build a fashion range round such an iconic and cool character and are looking forward to taking our Brains imagery to many new categories and outlets.”
