The following TV deals were signed around the world this week:

Spain's Imira Entertainment signed a deal with Toronto-based Shaftesbury to represent all its teen-skewed and kids programming titles in Latin America, including the series "Life With Derek." The Shaftesbury catalogue also includes "Baxter," "Connor Undercover," "Overruled!" and the made-for-television movie Vacation with Derek. The deal also includes rights to "Mischief City."

Endemol announced a long-term partnership with leading Kazakh broadcaster, Channel 7. Endemol's Weit Media will become the principal production partner to Channel 7, and Endemol Worldwide Distribution will supply a diverse line-up of finished programming from its international library. Endemol will be responsible for delivering approximately 25 percent of Channel 7's new schedule, making this the largest volume deal between a broadcaster and producer in the CIS region.

DQE inked a co-production agreement for a second season of the animated series "Le Petit Nicolas," also known as "Little Nick," with M6 Studios in France. The first season, also co-produced by DQE, aired in France and Germany and will premiere in India soon. DQE has exclusive right to sell and distribute the TV and video rights in Asian territories in Hindi, English and all local languages; and will distribute both seasons in English-speaking countries worldwide.

Sesame Workshop announced that Sesame Street will return to New Zealand on Feb. 7 on the new Channel FOUR.

Zodiak signed pre-sales for the U.S. adaptation of the U.K. series "Being Human," which will premiere in April 2011. The pre-sales agreement includes Tele Munchen for all German-speaking territories; SPE Networks Asia for Asia; AXN in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia; DBS in Israel; Media Vera in Turkey; and AXN Sci-Fi in Italy.  Zodiak also signed a deal with Entertainment One for the U.S. digital and home video rights.
