Licensing agency Ink has announced plans to install sub-agents for the app “Subway Surfers” around the world, in an effort to expand the brand and drive downloads past the 100 million mark. In the first announced partnership, License Connection was appointed to represent the brand across Benelux.

The app, which launched six months ago and recently added a version for Android devices, has reported 34 million downloads and 2 billion games played. “Subway Surfers” involves a player dodging oncoming trains and other hazards like railway security, while picking up coins and useful objects.

Initial target sectors for licensing include toys, publishing, apparel, footwear and stationery. Ink is also looking to facilitate the development of a TV series based on the property.
