The “TNA Impact Wrestling” professional wrestling TV program has joined forces with Dublin-based games developer Fantom for a new Facebook game.
The game allows players to collect and trade wrestlers from the show’s roster to complete a digital sticker album and unlock digital rewards.
“TNA (Total Non-Stop Action) Impact Wrestling” is home to wrestling icons such as Hulk Hogan and Kurt Angle. The show currently airs in more than 130 countries and 17 languages.
Former heavyweight champion Bobby Roode launched the Facebook game in Dublin this month while promoting the 2013 TNA Impact European tour.
“We are really pleased at the level of engagement and virality, of what is a simple collecting game,” says Paul Healy, chief executive officer, Fantom. “Practically everyone who plays has passed it on to their friends on Facebook. That is game developer gold.”
