Chorion has named Character World as licensee for bedroom ranges based on the classic children’s book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” which is part of The World of Eric Carle brand licensing program.
The Manchester-based textile company will produce duvet covers, curtains, cushions, towels and poncho towels, fleece blanket and rugs featuring the property.

The popular children’s book is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

“‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ is a classic and much-loved property that’s been a prominent children’s story for generations and this looks set to continue,” says Danny Schwieger, director at Character World. “We’re excited to have been awarded the license and I know our design team has been working overtime to create the best possible designs to complement the book imagery while bringing in some special touches.”

“We are delighted to be working with Character World on this range; the iconic imagery from ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ is a perfect fit for home furnishings,” says Bettina Koeckler, vice president of licensing sales, EMEA at Chorion.
