Discovery Communications' and Hasbro's upcoming kids' and family network The Hub has acquired "Hubworld," a weekly, half-hour pop culture series.

"Hubworld" will keep kids up to date with what's going on in the world of entertainment, music and sports, along with highlights from The Hub's animated and live-action series. It will also air segments on community service and volunteerism. The series is produced by Hasbro Studios in association with Natural 9 Entertainment. Kathy Samuels ("Rachael Ray," "Entertainment Tonight" and "Access Hollywood") serves as executive producer.

"Hubworld" will be hosted by Justin Willman, star of Food Network's "Cupcake Wars." The Hub, which launches on Oct. 10, will also air "Dan Vs.," "Family Game Night," "G.I. Joe Renegades," "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic," "Pictureka!," "Pound Puppies," "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour," "The Adventures for Chuck and Friends," "Clue" and "Transformers Prime."
