Hasbro and Discovery Communications have secured additional programming, new and iconic, for The Hub ahead of its Oct. 10 premiere.

The Hub will broadcast original series "Clue," a live-action show based on the mystery board game. The series joins other previously announced original programming, including "Dan Vs.," "Family Game Night," "G.I. Joe Renegades," "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic," "Pictureka!," "Pound Puppies," "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour," "The Adventures of Chuck and Friends" and "Transformers Prime."

"We're excited to be bringing Clue to television, as the property exemplifies the qualities we look for: good storytelling, compelling characters, kids and family gameplay together and group problem solving," says Margaret Loesch, president and chief executive of The Hub. "The opportunity to develop a program based on such an iconic and immensely popular game is unique and we believe the television adaptation will be very popular with kids and their families."

Meanwhile,

the network has also acquired the rights to air iconic series "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero," "The Wonder Years" and "Transformers: Generation 1."

The Hub is a joint venture children's network from Hasbro and Discovery Communications.
