Fluid World, U.K. licensing agent for Sanrio, has announced a series of food deals for Hello Kitty.

Lactalis Nestlé will develop a range of chilled Hello Kitty yogurts and desserts; Kerry Foods has signed on for baking mixes; and Ice Fresh will create Hello Kitty frozen desserts.

“Hello Kitty has seen phenomenal growth in the non-food sector, and there is now strong demand for food products,” says Victoria Whellans, senior brand manager, Fluid World. “Lactalis Nestlé is a world leader in the manufacture of dairy products, making them an ideal partner to develop a range of Hello Kitty chilled desserts perfect for lunch box treats.”

Kerry Foods has developed a Hello Kitty cake mix and cookie mix, scheduled to launch next month.

Ice Fresh Foods has introduced Hello Kitty to the frozen sector with the launch of a Hello Kitty Ice Cream Stick that uses Hello Kitty’s trademark bow. The product launched in Asda stores earlier this year, and further products are in development for launch later this year.

These new partners join existing food licensees Kinnerton Confectionery, Heinz and Finsbury Foods.
