Verrecchia began his career in 1965 as a staff accountant at Hasbro and worked his way up to chief executive officer in 2003. In this position, Verrecchia leveraged the company’s brand portfolio beyond the traditional toys and games categories.

Verrecchia has held several leadership roles in the toy industry, including several positions at the Toy Industry Association and co-founded the International Council of Toy Industries’ CEO Roundtable.

“The incredible career-long track record of success and leadership exhibited by Al Verrecchia on both an industry level and at Hasbro make him a natural choice for induction into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame,” says Brian Goldner, Hasbro’s president and chief executive officer.

Inductees are nominated by the industry at large and selected by Toy Industry Association members and Hall of Fame inductees.

“Verrecchia has helped to revolutionize the toy industry over the past 45 years and the TIA is honored to welcome him to the Toy Industry Hall of Fame,” says Carter Keithley, president of the Toy Industry Association.
