Hasbro is expanding its European licensing team, naming Markus Pfitzner senior licensing director for Northern Europe. Pfitzner joins recently appointed senior category manager Maya Moskvicheva, who oversees the licensing programs in Russia.

Pfitzner will be based in Germany and oversee Hasbro licensing activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. He will continue to work with Hasbro licensing agents Plus Licens and Gorian. Prior to joinging Hasbro, Pfitzner served at Mattel as licensing director and was formerly brand manager at Nintendo.

Last month, Izabella Tumiłowicz was named senior licensing manager for the Central and Eastern Europe territories, overseeing the licensing programs in Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and other Central European markets. Tumiłowicz is based in Hasbro’s Warsaw office. Formerly, Tumiłowicz was with Mattel, where she served in the territory for nearly 10 years.

“We are investing in our teams and structure and looking forward to working closely with retailers and licensees in these markets,” says James Walker, vice president, brand licensing and publishing, EMEA, Hasbro. "Markus, Izabella and Maya will add strength to Hasbro licensing with their competence and significant experience, a powerful asset to our business going forward."
