An online avatar contest has begun at Hasbro's GIJoe.com, where fans can win an action figure in their likeness. Paramount Pictures' and Spyglass Entertainment's
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
hits theaters on Aug. 7.
At GIJoe.com, visitors are invited to "join the team" and create a G.I. Joe or Cobra avatar, resembling a 3.75-inch action figure. Then fans are encouraged to tell the story of the character they created. Thirty-nine of the best characters and bios will win a 3.75-inch action figure, created in their own likeness.
The contest is available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, the U.K. and U.S.
