Hasbro has announced an expanded partnership with Egmont Kids Media (Egmont’s international division) to bring interactive storybook apps to European markets.

The agreement expands the two companies’ affiliation to include digital rights throughout Europe for My Little Pony, Transformers Prime and Littlest Pet Shop.

The first interactive storybook will be based on the TV series “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” and is set to be released in November. A second My Little Pony reading app will be released in January 2013, with The Littlest Pet Shop and Transformers Prime e-books following in the second quarter of the year.

Hasbro e-books will be available for the iPad from the Apple iTunes store.

“We’re excited to team up with a deeply experienced children’s publisher to re-imagine My Little Pony, Transformers Prime and Littlest Pet Shop for today’s young digital readers,” says Margie Chan-Yip, vice president of global publishing, Hasbro.
