HarperCollins Childrens Books U.K. has signed a four-book deal for U.K. and Commonwealth (excluding Canada) rights from Harper U.S. for The Amanda Project, the multi-platform, interactive, digital mystery for teens.

4th Story Media, which owns all rights to the property, will produce the content for The Amanda Project with a creative team including Web design agency Happy Cog, young adult authors, artists and graphic designers.

Amanda Valentino's story is told across a variety of media in addition to books—a social networking Web site, a related series of blogs chronicling the story as it unfolds, clues and seed posts on satellite sites, downloadable music and official and user-generated merchandise.

The Amanda Project Web site launches this summer, prior to the first book "The Amanda Project: Invisible I," in October 2009.
