Jeff Hansberry was appointed as president of global consumer products and foodservice at Starbucks, where he will report to president and chief executive officer Howard Schultz.

Hansberry will lead the company's consumer products growth efforts, including the launch of new brands and products worldwide. His appointment comes on the heels of recent Starbucks' product rollouts, including flavored coffee (Natural Fusions) and ready-brew packets (Via).

"We are in the midst of the most innovative period in Starbucks' history, and we are applying that innovation to deliver the world's best coffee in every format and every channel," says Schultz. "Jeff brings an impressive background and truly global perspective to the role. His leadership will help Starbucks accelerate our momentum to develop and deliver new brands and businesses that exceed the expectations of our customers around the world."

Hansberry most recently served as vice president and general manager of E. & J. Gallo Winery, where he was responsible for the company's brand portfolio. Hansberry has also worked at Procter & Gamble.
