License India will create product and promotional opportunities within the fast-moving goods, stationery, back-to-school and gifting categories. The two-year deal will allow Guinness World Records to expand its reach into the Indian market where the brand and heritage of the 55-year-old Franchise India Group is well known.
"Guinness World Records is a widely known brand, even in extremely remote areas, owing to the wide reach accomplished over decades," says Chitra Johri, head of marketing at License India. "The brand signifies the sense of accomplishment, excellence and achievement."
This is the second appointment Guinness World Records has made this year for international representation rights. In March, it announced the appointment of Exim Licensing Group to handle all South American territories.
