The six designers chosen for GQ's annual Best New Menswear Designers in America project will each showcase their signature style on items ranging from boxer briefs to leather jackets. They include Johan Lindeberg's BLK DNM brand, Ian Velardi, the Mark McNairy New Amsterdam brand, twin brothers Ariel and Shimon Ovadia of Ovadia & Sons, the Saturdays NYC label and designer Todd Snyder.
The collection will include hats, belts, ties and scarves, graphic tees, fleece hoodies, cardigans, chinos, cargo pants, wool trousers, denim, blazers and outerwear.
"From the very early stages of the design process, we knew this collection was going to be something our customers were drawn to," says Mark Breitbard, head of merchandising, Gap North America. "These designers are shaping the future of menswear, and it's an honor to bring their distinct visions to life in a way that complements Gap's casual American point of view."
The designers and their pieces will also be featured in a special advertising insert in the October issue of GQ.
