Fox Film Entertainment announced a joint venture with Swedish game-maker Rovio to create a special edition of “Angry Birds,” the popular mobile game app, for the upcoming release of Rio, an animated 3D motion picture from Fox.
“Angry Birds Rio” will be released in March, while “Rio” hits theaters April 15. Fox is the first Hollywood studio allowed to partner with Rovio’s “Angry Birds,” which has 75 million downloads to date.
