Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has partnered with Little Debbie to promote the DVD release of the animated movie Rio, which has set home entertainment industry records by selling 2.5 million units during its August release.
A contest featuring Rio merchandise is running on the Little Debbie website through Sept. 30, with prizes including a home entertainment package with LCD TV, Blu-ray and signed artwork; Blu-ray players, Rio body board, beach ball, stationery set and one Rio plush character.
In addition, Little Debbie will promote the sweepstakes with Little Debbie/Rio displays in 6,000 supermarkets across the country; sweepstakes information printed on select Little Debbie snacks; TV commercials; social media support; and some stores are offering free Little Debbie products with the purchase of the Rio Blu-ray or DVD.
