The deal renews the 2008 agreement between FME and CBS and gives FME all off-air, brand extension and merchandising rights to CBS Consumer Products’ TV and film portfolio, including “Australia’s Next Top Model,” “NCIS,” “CSI,” “Dexter” and “Californication,” as well as library titles such as “Happy Days,” “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Cheers.”
The deal also gives FME consumer products representation rights for the Star Trek franchise, including the upcoming Star Trek film sequel, due for release in 2012.
“We’re delighted to have renewed our agreement with CBS Consumer Products for the next two years,” said Jon Penn, FME Asia Pacific chief executive officer. “Since we signed our first exclusive agreement with CBS in 2008, we’ve developed a great partnership which we’ll both continue to build on over the next two years. We have an exciting array of merchandising and other brand extension opportunities that we plan to roll out over the coming year, details of which we’ll be announcing in due course.”
