FremantleMedia Enterprises has partnered with Stardoll, an online fashion game and world’s largest website for teen and tween girls, for a Rebecca Bonbon fashion design contest. Details will be announced on the website this fall.
The winner will have his or her original design sold as part of an upcoming Rebecca Bonbon apparel line available through Kmart.
Open to U.S. residents, the contest marks the first time a Stardoll member’s design will be produced and sold at retail. The Stardoll community will choose the winning design.
“Rebecca Bonbon is an emerging global fashion brand, as well as the most stylish French Bulldog on the planet, so it is naturally fitting for the brand to partner with Stardoll,” says David Luner, executive vice president of consumer products, interactive and mobile at FME North America. “We are confident that Stardoll’s targeted membership will embrace this one-of-a-kind, fashion-driven contest allowing them to have a truly engaging brand experience.”
“We are so pleased to be introducing Rebecca Bonbon game play into the Stardoll community this month,” says Chris Seth, general manager of Stardoll Media. “This will be the first time one of our Stardoll member designs will become a real world product, something our fashionistas have been dreaming about.”
Rebecca Bonbon was created by Yuko Shimizu, the original creator of Hello Kitty, and the brand's back-to-school line is currently available at Kmart stores nationwide.
