Nerd Corps Entertainment has begun production on its first preschool series, “Kate and Mim-Mim.” FremantleMedia Enterprises will have exclusive worldwide distribution and licensing rights (excluding Canada). The series will hit airwaves in 2014.

“Nerd Corps is always looking to work with the top talent and companies in the kids business. We fell in love with the concept behind ‘Kate and Mim-Mim,’ and Julie and Scott [Stewart] are just the kind of creators we want to work with,” says Ken Faier, president, Nerd Corps Entertainment.  “FME has a proven track record in global brand development so working with them offers us a fantastic opportunity to extend this property worldwide.”

“Kate and Mim-Mim” is a comedy for children ages 3 to 6 and is centered on the friendship between a feisty 5-year-old (Kate) and her plush toy bunny, Mim-Mim.

CBeebies has already ordered the first series for broadcast in the U.K.
