As the newest film in the Ice Age franchise, Ice Age: Continental Drift, opens Friday, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products is making sure fans have plenty of opportunities to chill with Manny and the gang, with a 4-D experience, video game and new online gaming site.
On July 1, Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium opened the newest installment of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs–The 4-D Experience, which can also be found at the Alton Towers Resort in the U.K., the San Diego Zoo in California and Gardaland in Italy.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have this attraction expand following such strong debuts in both Europe and the U.S.,” says Jeffrey Godsick, president, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. “This expansion is part of our overall commitment to allow fans to experience Ice Age and its characters in innovative ways.”
Activision publishing released the latest video game installment for the franchise Tuesday. “Ice Age: Continental Drift–Artic Games” lets fans play as their favorite Ice Age character as they compete in games like glacier hopping, ski jumping and the squirrel cannon. “Artic Games” is available now for Xbox Kinect, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS and 3DS.
And, as License! Global previously reported, Fox has also launched the beta version of Ice Age Online, a free-to-play, web-based game. Click here to read more about Ice Age Online.
